Abstract
Though big progress was achieved in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, the overall situation, however, is by no means satisfactory. Implementation of "New diabetology" will reduce the real risks and negative effects of type 2 diabetes, which is important in terms of personal patient prognosis, in terms of the entire health system and in economic terms.
