Instead of incretin-based therapy in the current strategy of pharmacological treatment of type 2 diabetes

Abstract

Evidence suggests that intensive treatment can improve long-term compensation for patients with type 2 diabetes. However, due to the progression of the disease, extensive therapy with antidiabetic drugs is needed, because normoglycemia, as a basic goal of treatment, is a general goal as a basic condition for successful prevention of microvascular and macrovascular complications.
