Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) today in developed countries is a major cause of chronic renal failure. In its natural course of DN moving from incipient nephropathy with microalbuminuria manifest a stage nephropathy with proteinuria, hypertension and gradually increasing renal insufficiency.

In the development of DN patients is usually a worsening of metabolic compensation of diabetes and speed development of other microvascular complications, including diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy
