Abstract
The author presents basic information on the Given endoscopic system of the M2A capsule. This method serves the early diagnosis of pathological conditions in particular in the region of the small intestine.
The author describes basic technical data pertaining to this system, the methodical procedure and indication and contraindication criteria. She mentions also the examination method and contemporary experience assembled with this method abroad.
From this information ensues that the method has a high diagnostic informative value and great sensitivity. As compared with classical radiodiagnostic methods and as compared with push enteroscopy, the method of the M2A capsule has a much higher diagnostic standard.
In the conclusion the advantages and disadvantages of the M2A endoscopic capsule are decribed.
