Abstract

During the last years modern biochemical methods for identification of the markers of bone metabolism have been invented. The advantages for the use of these methods are that they are potentially less dangerous than radiological determination and easily collected and analyzed in blood and urine.

The next argument is the higher sensitivity to changes in bone metabolism and estimation of the rates and direction of the biological activities governing bone turnover. Physical exercise is known source for significant influence on bone turnover and prevention of osteoporosis.

But this mechanism is not simple and is dependent on many not yet known factors.
