Abstract
The trend in modern medicine is an ever-increasing number of demanding invasive procedures. Unfortunately, this fact also carries a higher risk of healthcare workers becoming infected with blood-borne agents.
Their typical representative with particularly serious consequences is the HIV-1 virus.
