Abstract
The number of all skin cancers has been rising exponentially in the recent years. It is associated not only with improved diagnosis, but also with excessive exposure to UV radiation.
The paper discusses the effects of UV radiation on the skin, the possibilities of protection for the general population and the specific features of photoprotection in patients following solid organ transplantation.
