Abstract
Some herpes viruses such as herpes simplex virus (HSV) type 1 and 2, varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV), also known as human herpesvirus 5, are agents of human infectious diseases. Some herpesvirům like EppsteinBarrové virus (EBV), also known as herpesvirus 4, and herpesvirus associated with Kaposi's sarcoma (human herpesvirus 8) are attributed to the oncogenic properties.
