Variability of inborn developmental defects and their frequently associated occurrence induces differing examination algorithms, conditioned also by available methods of examination. The diagnostics is dominated by MR.
The second part of the paper deals with classification of primary brain tumors in children in view of their frequency, occurrence, anatomical localization and age groups of the patients. Authors describe pathological substrate of the tumor changes, main types of clinical difficulties, typical image in computing tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR).
The third part of the paper presents a detailed analysis of the causes of epilepsy in children and their imaging in magnetic resonance examination.
