Abstract
Retinopathy of prematurity. With the advancement of modern technology within a short two decade quality that allows neonatologists who treat premature babies with very low or extremely low water levels (less than 1500 grams and less than 1000 grams).
When these children are split in neonatological workplaces, we find ophthalmological findings that may be difficult to classify into the original ROP classification (International ROP Classification, ICROP 1984, 1987, 2005). These facts necessitated a re-evaluation of the individual retinal and vitreoretinal findings, descriptions and evaluations.
However, they also stimulated studies and laboratory research. The data were found due to the revision of the international ROP classification.
