Abstract
Authors discribe an overview of pathologies most frequently seen in skeletally immature patiens and propose optimal treatment algorythm for each diagnosis. Disorders of the patellofemoral point can be inherited or based on acquired pathologic condition.
Patellofemoral pain is a common condition in childhood or early adolescent age. The treatment algorithm depends on the level of pain and type of affection.
In a treatment both conservative and surgical way plays a role depending on the type of pathology. Recently, and arthroscopy plays a big role in the spectrum of surgical procedures in immature patellofemoral joint management.
