Abstract

Communication surgeon and the patient has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other communication between doctors and patients. The difference mainly stems from the special nature of the surgery, which harms the patient first, before it begins to heal - so the surgeon has a patient who had previously been felt healthy, explain that a rapid change in his feelings after the surgery is only temporary and is "for his own good".

The second difference then comes from the fact that the surgeon often decides under pressure, having the possibility of anesthesia with the patient to consult their actions. It must therefore explain to the patient for surgery that he must "go with confidence."
