Gastrointestinal problems during a long term physical exertion may surprise even a patient with insulin pump and continuous monitoring of glycemia

Abstract

We report a case of female patient with retroesophageal parathyroide adenoma and highlight the role of preoperative scintigraphic and intraoperative scintimetric localisation and confirmation of an ectopic parathyroid adenoma and their positive impact after unsuccessful parathyroidectomy.
