Abstract
The book by a team of authors invited by the leading Czech diabetes scientist Professor Jindřiška Perušičová acquaints the professional public with current trends in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with insulin. These theoretical conclusions are based on the conclusions of foreign studies, which are in the book of readers reviewed in the form of mediators.
The whole issue is documented by the case studies of the authors. The book offers answers to at least a fraction of the questions that world diabetology has been answering in recent years.
These key questions include: whether insulin therapy is indicated in type 2 diabetics, when it may be initiated, in whom diabetics prefer insulin monotherapy, or, conversely, combination therapy with insulin and oral antidiabetics.
