Abstract
Approximately 5% of patients with diabetes disease arises on the basis of malfunction single gene. The most common type of this so-called monogenního type of diabetes is diabetes MODY.
This type of diabetes is usually inherited autosomal dominantly, the first guideline for suspected monogenic diabetes is therefore the occurrence of similar failures in several generations.
