Abstract
The autor seeks to analyze the roots of hostility against Jews and hot it has developed over centuries. The word "antisemitism" which is inaccurate, indeed (Arabs are also Semites) was introduced by the French journalism in the 19th century.In this article, the author refers to that practice which identifies antisemitism with "anti-Jewish sentiment" by Christians, especially Catholics.
