Treatment of acute diarrhea syndrome: a comparison of the efficacy of Santax S and intestinal adsorption in patients with diarrheal disease

Publication at Second Faculty of Medicine |
2004

Abstract

Acute diarrhea syndrome of infectious origin is the second most common disease in the community after respiratory infections. Rehydration remains the basis of treatment.

Antibiotics or chemotherapeutics should be administered only very rarely. In recent years, more attention has been paid to the adjustment of the intestinal flora using probiotics and prebiotics.

The comparative study evaluates the effect of an intestinal adsorbent probiotic.
