Toxoplasmosis is one of the protozoal infections that occur in various parts of the world. Even in the Czech Republic, the incidence of this disease is not uncommon, although its incidence is not high.
The prevalence of the population is around 28-36%. To a few times, toxoplasmosis is not a problem for a healthy person.
Far more serious is the situation where primary infection occurs in pregnant women, or primary infection or more often reactivation in people with reduced immunity. The article is devoted to the issue of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women, or possible fetal harm, prevention and treatment of this infection.
