Abstract
Arterial hypertension is one of the most important risk factors for cardiovascular disease and the progression of chronic kidney disease in adults and children. In addition, its significance lies in the fact that it is treatable and that the treatment improves the cardiovascular and renal prognosis of children with hypertension.
The following article summarizes the current state of diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in children and provides a simple guide for the examination of a child with high blood pressure.
