Abstract
The authors dealt with the problem of sexual abuse in children and its consequences. Sexual abuse by the child's own parent is one of themost serious ways.
The consequences may become manifest in various ways. The frequently encountered symptoms include psychopathological symptoms, psychosomatic difficulties, behavioral disorders, self-damage, suicidal manifestations.
The reaction of the family may be a problem as well. The authors describe the case of a 12-years girl having been sexually abused by her own father.
