Abstract
The work is based on the fact that all previously proposed formulas for estimating glomerular filtration based on serum creatinine concentrations are not completely accurate. It presents new, yet alternative, ways to refine these measurements.
Of course, any refinement of GF estimation based on endogenous markers is highly desirable. I believe that these findings and their interpretation will require further studies, which should confirm the authors' conclusions.
