Pedometers are often used during physical activity prescription. Even there are many validation studies, function of pedometers in free-living conditions is not sufficiently elucidated.
In our work we aimed to assess function of two widely used pedometers (spring-levered Yamax SW-200, electronical Omron HJ 720-IT) during bus travel. Our results indicate that lesser error in physical ativity monitoring can be achieved by using of more expensive electronic pedometer.
