Abstract
Lercanidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium ion channel inhibitor that is commonly used for its antihypertensive effects. Moreover, in this article also neuroprotective or renoprotective effects with regard to relevant trials are discussed.
Lercanidipine possesses a very good safety profile as well. Currently, it has been used in combination with ACE inhibitor, enalaprile.
