Monograph up the publication of prof. E.
Polak, published in 1961. It was the first title in Czech literature that comprehensively pointed out what the little talks - that the deaths in surgery and their causes.
Professor Pafko with co-authors organized a publication on this topic again now after more than 40 years and in trying to show her that despite progress in medical surgical operation is not trivial. People quite often do not realize is that even during normal surgery complications may occur, which can lead to death.
Some causes of death remain the same, some practically disappeared, but were new, previously unknown. Today it is operated and the sick, who would 50 years ago, the operation indicated they were not at all.
