Abstract
The area of periodic fever and associated inflammatory conditions is the latest clearly defined chapter of immunodeficiency, which belongs to its clearly defined defect in the immune mechanisms of some of these units. However, it is an area overlapping with others, mainly inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and in some sources it is possible to find its inclusion in another area.
Periodic fever forms a subset of units called "autoinflammatory syndromes" in the English-language literature. The English original has great obstacles to the correct nomenclature in the Czech literature.
Since the nomenclature is not clearly regulated, we will keep the English original in this text, which guarantees clear classification and clarity.
