Abstract
The work is a summary of recent findings on acute myeloid leukemia (AML), emphasis on pediatric patients, trying to find a place in the hierarchy of AML cancer and attempts to present illness party definition, classification, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment modalities and pharmacoeconomics.
