Innovative antiarrhythmic drugs of class 3

Publication |
2003

Abstract

Antiarrhythmic drugs of class III are used as profylactic drugs in patients with ventricular fibrillation and ventricular flutter. They reduce the incidence of supraventricular tachycardia after heart surgery.

Antiarrhythmic drugs of class III reduce the discharge frequency in patients with an implantable cardioverter by a defibrillator for ventricular tachycardias. Efforts are being exercised to remove the adverse effects of antiarrhythmics of class III.
