Abstract
Congenital chest wall deformities are currently divided into five categories: pectus excavatum (inverted chest), pectus carinatum (bird's chest), Poland's syndrome, and rare sternal defects and chest deformity in congenital skeletal disorders. Mostly deformed chest walls do not cause life-threatening conditions, except for thoracic ectopy of the heart and Jeunes's asphyxial thoracic dystrophy.
