Abstract
An average of 240 appendectomies are performed annually at the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the 2nd Medical Faculty of Charles University in the University Hospital in Motol, which is 12% of the total number of operations per year. The number of perforated inflammations of the worm is on average 5.4% per year, which we consider to be a very good result.
Renowned European workplaces report this number at 20% or more.
