Atrial fibrillation and stroke

Abstract

Atrial fibrillation is a cause of about a quarter of ischemic strokes. Cardioembolic stroke caused by atrial fibrillation has the highest mortality and morbidity and it is imperative to diagnose and treat with this knowledge.
