Replacements of the hip for degenerative arthrosis currently have the broadest implementation. Joint replacements are differentiated from each other by the used material, the fixation of the endoprosthesis in the bone (cemented and non-cemented total endoprosthesis) and the contact surface head-fossa. "New types" of endoprostheses are represented by endoprosthesis with methaphysal fixation, resurfacing, custom made endoprosthesis and special types of endoprostheses.
Mini-invasive surgical approaches are also quite beneficial.
