Abstract
The aim of this article was to briefly describe the field of genetic genealogy and its power in analyzing the paternal family tree. The testing of DNA for genealogical purposes is very popular not only as a tool for searching of lost "cousins" but can also be applied in archaeogenetics or forensic sciences.
