This paper introduces a new postural stabilization test (kneeling with support on palms) which aims at a quick and complex evaluation of the axial organ stabilization in sportsmen. The test is based on the concept of developmental kinesiology which uses the principles of physiologic human ontogenesis for the diagnosis and treatment of functional pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.
The main contribution of the test is to allow simultaneous testing of several subunits of the spinal stabilization system. Moreover, due to its demanding character it might detect hidden pathologies in postural stabilization.
