Abstract

BPPV is the most common type of dizziness ever. Rotational dizziness of the peripheral type follows a few seconds after a quick change of position.

The presence of calcium carbonate crystals in the endolymph of semicircular canals plays a key role in the pathophysiology of BPPV. Position maneuvers are a sovereign diagnostic and treatment method.
