Abstract
Meckel's diverticulum as a remnant of the ductus omphaloentericus may be silent for life, but may be the cause of a sudden abdominal event at different ages. Most of Meckel's symptomatic diverticula manifest in the first years of life.
The most common manifestations are painless bleeding into the gastrointestinal tract, intestinal obstruction, inflammation of the diverticulum and occasionally changes in the navel. The authors present three less common case reports of Meckel's diverticulum manifestation in infancy and toddler age.
