Unusual cases of children laparoscopy

Publication at Second Faculty of Medicine |
2007

Abstract

The authors present three unusual cases. In two cases they used laparoscopy to solve them.

The first one concerns a patient with ventriculoperitoneal shunt, whose distal end of the catheter perforated colon transversum and went out of the anus. The second one describes the gun shot of the abdomen by an airgun pellet.

The third one explains the complication after a laparoscopic appendectomy which was not revealed even after the open revision. Brief recommendations are given to avoid certain complications or to make the early diagnosis and to solve them in time.
