The electoral results of the election to the European Parliament confirmed low interest of the Czech citizens. The Czech Republic will be represented in the European Parliament by 7 parties, which will be part of 6 fractions.
The only political party with MPs in the Chamber of Deputies and no MEPs is the Dawn of Direct Democracy. Other parties, who gained mandates in the Chamber of Deputies succeeded also in 2014.
One party that gained one MEP, that does not have MPs, is eurosceptic Party of Free Citizens. Expect the gains of two small eurosceptic parties the Czech Republic did not experienced the expected rise of far right parties with anti-immigrant and xenophobic rhetoric.
