The change of free testosterone during courtship related competitive situation in adolescent men is related to aggressiveness but not dominance
Abstrakt
We measured free testosterone levels (T) of 30 males aged 16 - 18 (17.2 +- 0.6) in two experimental situations with result controlled scenario: 1) representing the possibility of gaining a mate as result of competition over rivals (T1) and 2) competition followed by loss of the mate to rival (T2). The levels were compared to basal level (T0).
