Publication at Faculty of Education |
2014

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) are one of the instruments which can be used to fulfil the interdisciplinary character of project-based education not only in the field of Chemistry. This paper in accord with this opinion offers a basic view of actual ways of using ICT and possibilities of their implementation in particular project phases.

Emphasis is put partly on a type of application students, eventually teachers, work with, partly on examining the students' activities during a project as well as the potential to develop students' personal streaks. In the text, a comparison of using ICT by teachers and students is made.

Further, differences in the levels of required activities and their aims in different age groups, thus also diverse mastering of work with ICT, are pointed out. As the source for this comparison records of already performed or planned projects published either on the Internet, in the proceedings from the conference Project-based Education or from the authors' own pedagogical experience were used.
