Abstract
This contribution refers to the methodological approach towards the anthropological research of house and home, with a special regard to perceiving the view through the window. It is an ethnographical research, in which I am trying to apply the standard research procedure to the non-standard field.
That forces me to experiment during the data collection. Above all during the semi-structured interviews, in which I am trying to get from my informants the reflection of their lived space and view through the window, I often get answers in poetic images that are on the borderline of understanding.
A way out of this abstract level I find in using other methods of anthropological qualitative research, like participant observation, analysis of material objects and sensual analysis.
