Priestess nadītum in ancient Mesopotamia, social and legal aspects

Abstrakt

Special groups, whose status has been defined in Hammu-Rabbi Code and which operated in cultic sphere, were priestesses nadītum. Their rights were specific and unique, different from rights of other women of Babylon.
