Abstract
This paper deals with the disqualification from the office. Its first part describes the developed regulation of directors’ disqualification in the UK (Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986).
The second part of this paper focuses on the new Czech regulation of disqualification from the office under the Act on Business Corporations. As briefly described, the Czech rules are ambitious, nevertheless in many places ineffective and problematic.
