Abstract
The present monograph identifies the impact of the contemporary German literature on Writings of Gérard de Nerval. Considering Nerval's masterpieces, the inspiration by Goethe's Faust and Hoffmann's fantastic stories appears as crucial.
Our analysis is focused on Les Filles du feu, two stories from Voyage en Orient (Histoire de la Reine du Matin et de Soliman, prince des génies and Histoire de Hakem), Aurélia ou le rêve et la vie and Pandora.
