Abstract
The methodology proposes new procedures for large raster data and related metadata management. The document introduces the SDI module for automation of metadata generation.
Its architecture allows for effective data analysis and distribution of metadata, data and data analysis results. The methodology also defines the crosswalk between metadata standards of two distinct fields - librarianship and geoinformation science.
The usage of SDI in fields of librarianship and archiving is illustrated.
