Abstract
The author in the article informs about his experiences during the visit "First Venous Port Conference", which took place in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.
Author presented invited lecture "Contemporary philosophy venous ports". He informed about the experiences of his center with the implantation of more than 3,000 venous port, he emphasized the importance of X-ray and ultrasound navigation during this procedure.
As part of the conference was the practical workshop, where author implanted 2 venous ports in the operating room. Operation was transmitted in to the lecture hall and so practical training was achieved.
