Thoracolithiasis: a unique autopsy finding

Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové |
2014

Abstract

The paper presents a unique autopsy finding in a 68-year-old man who was found dead at his apartment. On internal examination there was a bizarre oval, tumor-like object loosely lodged onto the posterior parietal pleura.

Histology revealed that the lesion was consistent with a diagnosis of thoracolithiasis.
