Abstract

Users at the young adult age belongs to one of the target groups, which has great potential for public libraries. Attendance of young adults, i. e. people aged approximately between 25 and 35 years, significantly decreases in Czech public libraries in connection with the beginnig of economical activity (or graduation).

With regard to the information needs of each target group is necessary to develop a specific range of services that will attract existing and potential users. This paper presents selected examples of good practice (cases for inspiration from Danish and Swedish libraries) which can be considered as inspirational in work with young adults.
