Publication at Faculty of Humanities |
2014

Abstract

As a beginning teacher at Secondary Nursing School, I have already encountered with a significant number of ethical dilemmas concerning the students' practical training. Namely, those are issues concerning the relationship between the pupils and the teacher, or between the clientele or the personnel of medical facilities and the teacher.

This issue draws upon many unanswered questions. The questions for which, the answers cannot be found in any of available literature.

Those are questions such as, When is it appropriate to evaluate a pupil in front of a patient? How to act in case of conflict between the standardized hospital protocols and the guidelines forced by schools? How is this coped with abroad? Hence, the main objective of this paper is to address the expert community and to highlight the necessity to create united didactic recommendations for Secondary Nursing Schools with regard to the students' practical training.
