This paper elaborates close relationship/balance between freedom and legal regulation, which is nowadays articulated through human rights and fundamental freedoms. Furthermore it introduces some contemporary approaches to mentioned topic (libertarian and law & economics approach) and demonstrates its limitations.
As a conclusion paper ask question about possible future of law-freedom relation and ends with statement, that its preservation (in current form) depends on preservation of liberal democracies. According the author liberal democracies could be attacked only by so-called global risks or by rising number of immigrants incoming to liberal democracies without will to assimilate.
