Invasive mycoses caused by less common fungal species, such as Fusarium spp. Scedosporium spp. and some representatives of subphylum Mucormycotina, e.g.

Lichtheimia corymbifera (formely Absidia corymbifera), present a series problem, especially in immunosuppressed patients. Antifungal drugs for the management of mucormycosis are limited to a polyene antibiotic amphotericin B and triazole derivative posaconazole.

In this paper some new compounds with medium activity against L. corymbifera, that could contribute to the SAR studies and search for potential antifungal molecules against mucormycosis, are discussed.
